Serious About Fun: How Our Core Value Transformed AI Learning

At Cloud Giants, we hold our Core Values sacred, especially “Have Fun.” It energizes our professional culture and shapes our interactions with clients and colleagues. As technical consultants, staying on top of topics like Artificial Intelligence and Salesforce isn’t just beneficial; it’s essential. With so much to know, especially as this relates to Salesforce, it’s important to find ways to make learning less daunting, and more dynamic. At the company level, we want to get everyone involved and create a way to let our coworkers showcase their creativity. So, how do we transform a steep learning curve into something enjoyable? We turned it into a competitive showdown with a twist!

Nurturing a Culture of Exploration and Innovation

Embracing curiosity empowers us to absorb and engage with new knowledge. Everyone has different learning styles, and let’s be real—some prefer hands-on training, while others like diving into the latest research papers. Our first step was to establish a baseline for our collective AI knowledge. We needed to know what was on the market, how it worked and the costs involved.

We tasked two consultants of different positions to become our AI champions. Their mission was to deep dive into the world of Salesforce AI, armed with nothing but curiosity and a strong wifi connection. They had the freedom to present their findings however they wished. They chose a hybrid training session, combining in-person discussions with remote insights.

Bridging Theory and Practice

The training was held at our headquarters in Durham, NC. The consultants talked through what Salesforce AI products were currently available (this was pre-Agentforce rebrand, remember those days?), and explained their prices, capabilities, and best practices.

At the end of the presentation, they introduced the “Prompt Off”,  a competition to encourage participation and creativity. Participants were invited to submit their best use cases for two categories: one for a client-specific application of Agentforce (formerly Einstein CoPilot) and one for an internal use case tailored for Cloud Giants. Consultants were given a month to formulate an authentic example of how Agentforce could be utilized on one of their client projects, as well as in our own internal Salesforce Org. Naturally, there were prize offerings, because what’s better motivation for consultants than the chance to win something and showcase an innovative solution?

Prompt Off Results, Transforming Knowledge into Creative Solutions

When the deadline hit, our AI Trainers reviewed all Prompt Off entries for both use cases. The results were as innovative and unique as expected! The champion submissions were as follows:

🏆Best Internal-Specific Use Case:

  • Winner: Josh Kambour, VP of Consulting

  • Idea Submission: “Client asks "have you guys done any work with (ex.) lead assignment rules before?" and you ask Agentforce to summarize 3 examples for you. Agentforce searches through TaskRay history [our project management tool], finds a couple of results, but then recaps the gist of them for you in natural language which makes it seamless for you to respond back and build credibility.”

🏆Best Client-Specific Use Case:

  • Winner: Steve Pysnik, Principal Consulting Manager

  • Idea Submission: “My client, who specializes in consulting for higher education, could use Agentforce to analyze enrollment data to identify what colleges and universities are experiencing the most student retention issues, and therefore are more likely to want their consulting services to help them right the ship.”

By blending fun with education, we empower our consultants to engage with the world of AI with curiosity. Our core values have cultivated a team of unique creators, and the Prompt Off challenge exemplifies our commitment to encouraging individuals to apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. This initiative has not only propelled our collective understanding but also established a framework for a dynamic and fun learning environment. Here’s to more competition, more enjoyment, and a continuous spirit of curiosity as we move forward together!
